About Me
Hiya! This is Xin! Big Thank You for stumbling into my little travel playground
Image location: Portland, Oregon
I started solo traveling when I was 22. I had a 2 weeks’ vacation, I did some research and decided to visit New Mexico. I rented a car and drove around 1,900 miles WITH:
– NO traveler insurance
– NO car insurance
– Never went on a road trip my own
– Just learned how to drive 3 weeks ago
If you ask any travelers, that trip would be considered as extremely underprepared. At the time, I didn’t care because I didn’t think anything terrible would happen to me. I learned from my many previous travel mistakes, and now I focus on travel safety. With my website, I want to do what I can to provide safety tips for female travelers.
Around late 2016, I quit my corporate job to work at a coffee farm in Kona, Hawaii. After that, I started a road trip to see all 59 national parks in America. I craved for the freedom on the road, it was the kind of meditation I need to overcome some personal ditches. My goal was to finish all the parks in one year, but when I stepped into Yosemite National Park (spend 2 weeks there), I realized one year is not enough time to truly embrace the beauty of our Mother Nature. At the end of 2017, I covered 32 national parks and traveled through 31 states.
